TOMPKINSVILLE, Kentucky — The search had been ongoing for 25-year-old Anthony Barbour and the missing 2 year old female since she went missing last Tuesday.

Several locations were searched and areas were canvased, but neither were located.

On Monday, at 2:15 pm the Kentucky State Police located the body of missing 2 year old Laynee Wallace in a well in close proximity to where she was originally reported missing.

Barbour, the girl’s mother’s boyfriend is believed to be responsible.

He was arrested Monday afternoon at the Temple Hill Volunteer Fire Department  during a traffic stop before the girl’s body was located.

Barbour was later taken to the scene of the search for Laynee’s body. Police say the property where the two-year old was found belongs to the Barbour family.

From WKYT: “Barbour has not been lodged in a Kentucky jail. At last check, Barbour’s charges are also unknown… It is unclear if Barbour has a lawyer.”

An autopsy will be performed in Louisville, the press release stated. The investigation is still ongoing.
