The body of 22-year-old Robert Clark Jr., who’s been missing from Hilton Head Island, S.C. since Monday, was found behind the Target store off of U.S. 278 in Bluffton, S.C., on Thursday.
A Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office deputy patrolling the area made the discovery.
“It appears that Robert died as a result of a gunshot wound,” deputies said. “A handgun was found in his vehicle.”
A forensic autopsy will be performed at the Medical University of South Carolina to aid in the determination of the cause and manner of Robert’s death.
