DETROIT — Cynthia Worthy went missing last Friday night after setting up a date on Backpage.com, a website for escorts.
The 23-year-old’s body was later found in an alley off of Davison Street, near Dexter Avenue on the city’s west side. The victim was stabbed to death.
Her family is devastated and her father told Fox2Detroit, “”We finally convinced her to stop and she enrolled in school and has been on track,” said Shawn Willis, her father. “She told me she is about to stop, ‘I can’t do this anymore.'”
Worthy was a frequent user of Backpage.com and went by the name “Lady.”
