GERMANY — UPDATE: The Islamic State (ISIS) is suspected to have planned a suicide attack in Munich, German authorities say.
MORE: Munich police evacuated two train stations after indications of a planned terror attack. Police who were off duty for the holiday were called in to do sweeps.
Police tweeted, “Current indications that a terrorist attack is planned in #München. Please station avoids crowds and the stations” … “Pasing railway station and Central station are already granted. The trains no longer run this! Please note the instructions of the police.”
“Current information indicates that a terrorist attack has been planned in Munich,” police said. “Munich police are urgently appealing for the population to, for the time being, to keep this in mind and to avoid large crowds and train stations.”
Officials didn’t say where the threat originated.
