FLORIDA — Scroll down for videos — An unidentified man in Fort Lauderdale believed to be homeless was seen swimming before he scrambled to the top of the bridge as it began to rise when he was walking over it. The man was stuck over 100 feet in the air before crews safely brought him down.
Two firefighters scaled the bridge, made their way to the top, gave the man some shorts and secured him with a rope harness. The bridge was then slowly lowered back down.
The man was taken to Broward Health Medical Center to be treated for burns to the buttocks.
