Nashville High School Student Charged with Bringing a Pistol onto School Property

NASHVILLE, TENN. — A 17-year-old Whites Creek High School senior today was charged with bringing a gun onto school property after a stolen .380 caliber pistol was found inside his parked car on campus.

The principal alerted officers after an odor of marijuana was detected on another student who arrived at school in the same vehicle as the 17-year-old. Officers conducted a search of the car and located the gun, which had been reported stolen in Clarksville, in the glove box.

The teen is charged in Juvenile Court with unlawful weapon possession and possession of stolen property.
