NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced Tuesday that Donald Sterling, the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, has been suspended for life. Silver also announced that the NBA has also hit Sterling with a $2.5 million fine, and that he would urge the league’s board of governors to force a sale of the team. The decision was announced four days after an audio recording of Sterling making racist comments was published online by the website TMZ.
