Las Vegas, Nevada — On April 21, 2020 at approximately 1:55 p.m., an LVMPD Patrol Officer noticed a four-door sedan driving erratically on Charleston Blvd and I-15. A record check of the plate revealed the plate had been stolen under a previous event. The LVMPD Air Unit was monitoring the vehicle as it continued to drive erratically through multiple parts of the city. At approximately 3:05 p.m., the vehicle came to a stop in the area of Twain and Paradise. The suspect exited the vehicle holding a firearm and attempted to carjack a citizen. Officers who were monitoring, and following nearby, immediately engaged the suspect. The officers discharged their firearms, striking the suspect. The suspect was transported to Sunrise hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
