NJ Woman Assaults 2 Police Officers, Firefighter

COLUMBUS -- Police at Ohio State University are investigating a 'self-inflicted shooting' that happened at the Wexner Arts Center for Arts Sunday.

North Wildwood, New Jersey — (NWPD News Release) — On Thursday, November 17, 2016, North Wildwood Police were dispatched to Walnut & Olde New Jersey Avenues for a report of a disorderly female in the area at 8:43 PM. Officers located the female matching the description on the 100 block of E. 2nd Avenue.

The female, identified as Elizabeth Sanders, continued to be disorderly as officers and North Wildwood Fire Department firefighters arrived on scene.

As Sanders was being placed under arrest, she kicked two officers in the leg and groin area, biting one of the officers on his hand and bit a firefighter. Sanders continued to resist arrest and spit on two officers and a firefighter.

Elizabeth Sanders (43), residing in Villas, NJ, was charged two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer; one count of aggravated assault on a firefighter; three counts of throwing bodily fluid and one count of resisting arrest. Sanders was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center on $15,000/full cash bail set by Judge Louis Belasco, Jr.
