NJ woman fatally beat her husband with a fire extinguisher, police say

MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. – Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Willingboro Director of Public Safety Gregory Rucker announced that a Willingboro woman has been charged with fatally beating her husband yesterday inside of their township residence.

Laciana Tinsley, 42, was charged yesterday evening with one count of Murder and one count of Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.

The assault occurred inside the residence in the first block of Hancock Lane. The victim was identified as Douglas Tinsley, 74. He was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 12:30 p.m.

The investigation revealed that Laciana Tinsley struck her husband in the head multiple times with a fire extinguisher. The motive for the fatal assault is being investigated. An autopsy will be performed today by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood.

Laciana Tinsley was taken into custody at the residence.
