North Carolina Drivers Leaving Their Cars on Roadways After Storms Crippled Transportation

People in North Carolina have abandoned their cars on highways despite law enforcement warnings not to do so. The state has seen gridlock of epic proportions from Raleigh to Charlotte, causing people to leave and seek shelter.

College basketball fans trying to get to the Duke University-University of North Carolina basketball game also left their cars on the side of the road, knowing they could get to the game faster on foot. Despite their effort, school officials decided to postpone the game until Feb. 20.
