Roxbury, NEW YORK – On November 9, 2015, New York State Police at Margaretville received a report from a resident on Maple lane in the Town of Roxbury, Delaware County that an X-Acto knife type razor blade was found inside a full size (1.80 oz) bag of Sour Skittles which had been obtained while Trick or Treating.
It appears that the bag of candy had been completely sealed prior to it being opened on November 9th.
The bag has been traced back to having been purchased at the CVS Pharmacy on 60 Bridge Street in the Town of Margaretville.
The investigation has not been able to identify the source of the razor blade and parents are recommended to thoroughly check all candy prior to consumption.
