Laurens, NY – On April 17, 2016, at about 7:55 p.m., New York State Police at Oneonta arrested Megan R. Holbrook, 36, of Laurens, NY for the misdemeanor of menacing 3rd degree.
This arrest occurred after troopers were advised of a verbal dispute that occurred outside near Laurens Central School, on Main Street in the Town of Laurens.
An investigation determined that Holbrook had previously told some children to leave the park who were using nerf guns.
When the mother of the children returned to ask why, Holbrook became enraged and while posturing in a threatening manner threatened to kill the woman.
Holbrook was arraigned in the Town of Laurens Court and was released without bail required.
Her next court date in the Town of Laurens is pending.
