The NYPD are attempting to identify and search for a suspect involved in a sexual assault and robbery.
The incident took place at around 3:30am on January 3rd in the area of Greenwich Village.
According to the NYPD, the suspect knocked on the 23-year-old female’s door.
That suspect also was seen following the victim for several blocks before she got home.
He asked if something was burning and once inside of her residence, the suspect then slapped and choked the victim.
He then removed her clothing and forced her to perform oral sex.
The suspect took the victim’s cellphone and removed $250 from the victim’s wallet and fled on foot.
The victim was treated and released at an area hospital.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20’s, who is 6-feet tall with black hair and brown eyes.
