TULSA, Okla. – Last Thursday, Tulsa Police Officers responded to an apartment complex near 31st and Mingo for a call about an abduction.

Officers talked with a woman who said her 16-year-old runaway daughter was inside an apartment. The woman had previously seen her daughter get into a gold SUV at a nearby gas station that was now parked outside the apartment.
Officers knocked on the door of the apartment and talked with Christopher Bartley. He said the 16-year-old was not there, but Officers eventually learned the girl was in the apartment.

The 16-year-old said she was staying with Bartley because he told her that he was a former Tulsa Police Officer and currently worked for the U.S. Marshal Service. The girl said Bartley often wore clothing that resembled law enforcement, and he gave her alcohol.

Bartley was arrested for:
– Harboring a Runaway Juvenile
– False Impersonation of a Peace Officer
– Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor

Bartley has never worked for the Tulsa Police Department nor the U.S. Marshal Service.
