Oklahoma Man Wielding Bow and Arrow Shot Multiple Times By Cops

Rogers County, Oklahoma — (News Release) — Saturday evening, the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI special agents investigate an officer-Involved shooting involving several deputies.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., sheriff deputies were called to 8400 S 4200 Road in Foyil in reference to a domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived, they encountered Shane Alexander Tresner (d.o.b. 10/3/1974) outside the residence.

Tresner was armed with a compound bow and arrow. He refused to comply with deputies’ repeated commands to drop the weapon. Three deputies fired their weapons at Tresner, striking him several times. Tresner was mediflighted to a Tulsa hospital and remains in critical condition. OSBI spent the night documenting the scene and conducting interviews.

Agents will compile a comprehensive written report of what happened and provide the Rogers County District Attorney a copy. The district attorney will determine if the shooting was justified.
