Parents Kidnap Baby From Social Services, Drive Him 2K Miles In Stolen Van Before Being Caught

**AMBER ALERT CANCELED** Asheboro, NC — During the early morning hours of Sunday June 19, 2016 officers with the Missoula Montana Police Department located the missing infant John Eastlack that was reported missing from Randolph County and subject of a NC Amber Alert.

The child was with his parents Chad Eastlack and Penny Worthy in a Missoula area hotel. The three were found by a Missoula officer who spotted the stolen Chrysler mini-van in the hotel’s parking lot.

The child is in good health and has been turned over to the local social services agency in Missoula. The child’s return to NC will be coordinated by the Randolph County Department of Social Services.

The investigation is ongoing in this case.

INITIAL AMBER ALERT: On June 14, 2016, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Randolph County Department of Social Services in reference to a missing 8 month old infant male that had been placed in their custody. Randolph County Department of Social Services advised that the infant child has been taken by the biological parents, Chad Douglas Eastlack and Penny Dianne Worthy a.k.a Penny Eastlack last known address 4545 Peace Rd., Trinity, NC.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office learned that Chad Eastlack is also a suspect in the larceny of a motor vehicle from Millikan Farm Rd., Franklinville, NC, this vehicle being a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country, silver in color bearing NC Registration EAF-5393. Chad Eastlack has subsequently been charged with the larceny of the motor vehicle as well as other charges relating from this larceny.
