Pennsylvania State Trooper Charged With Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct

Harrisburg, PA ­– The Pennsylvania State Police have arrested one of their own — Trooper Dustin Schumacher — following a disturbance call earlier this morning in Claysville Borough, Washington County.

Trooper Schumacher faces felony and misdemeanor charges, including aggravated assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Schumacher was arraigned and transported to Washington County Prison. Bail was set at $5,000.

Schumacher enlisted in the PSP in April 2016 and graduated as a member of the 146th cadet class. He is assigned to the patrol section of Troop B, Belle Vernon. He has been suspended without pay pending resolution of the criminal charges against him.
