Modesto, CA – Detectives investigate a deadly domestic disturbance call that started as reports of shots fired in the 4100 block of Alexandra Court.
The 9-1-1 calls started at about 4 p.m. after an armed suspect, identified as 53-year-old Rick Foreman, forced his way into his estranged wife’s residence while she, and several other family members, were home. Foreman started up the stairs to a room where his estranged wife was hiding when he was confronted by a family member.
During a verbal altercation, Foreman fired the gun he was holding. A struggle to subdue Foreman and secure the gun ensued. During the struggle, additional gunshots were fired; however, no one inside the home was struck. As the family member gained control of Foreman, he lost consciousness. Seconds later emergency personnel arrived on scene and began life-saving measures. Their attempts were unsuccessful and Foreman was pronounced deceased.
No charges have been filed. The investigation continues.
