MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Milwaukee Police said four people were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide on Wednesday.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased on Thursday:

– Kevin James Becker-Wilhelm, 7-year-old boy
– Jason Wilhelm, 42-year-old man
– Fredrick Holmes, 49-year-old man
– Jeazell Woodruff, 54-year-old woman

Police say around 11:45 a.m., in the 3100 block of S. 49th Street, officers were called to “check the welfare of an individual.” Officers entered the home and located four deceased people — all with apparent gunshot wounds.

Police said that “one of the deceased individuals killed the victims and then died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

“There is not a woman or a child or a man that should be worried about being harmed by someone, especially someone that they know, someone that they love,” City of Milwaukee Office of Violence Prevention Arnitta Holliman said.

The investigation ongoing and police say there is no active threat to the public.
