The LAPD have confirmed the identity of the shooter in the suspected UCLA murder-suicide as Mainak Sarkar.

Sarkar accused the victim of stealing his computer coding and giving it to another student.

Sakar then then took his own life after killing William Klug, aged 39, in an office in UCLA engineering building 4.

A 2nd UCLA professor was discovered on the list, police confirmed that he is not in danger.

According to the LAPD, Klug was an associate professor of aerospace and mechanical engineering.

An L.A. police chief also announced on Thursday that a Woman on Sarkar’s`kill list’ was found dead in Minnesota.

Mainak called the professor a ‘very sick person’ who shouldn’t be trusted, on March 10th.

“William Klug, UCLA professor is not the kind of person when you think of a professor. He is a very sick person. I urge every new student coming to UCLA to stay away from this guy,” Sarkar wrote. “He made me really sick. Your enemy is my enemy. But your friend can do a lot more harm. Be careful about whom you trust.”

A vigil has been set for Klug at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Bruin Plaza.

All classes in the engineering building will remain cancelled for the rest of the week.
