ROME, GA – A man killed a woman at a Chick-fil-A drive-thru in Georgia before fatally shooting himself early Tuesday morning.
Rome Police Department responded to what was initially reported as an accident with an injury, but officers were later informed that it was a shooting incident.
The victim, identified as Cassie Lashae Davis, 39, was sitting in her car in the drive-thru lane when she was shot by the perpetrator, Anthony Wayne Green, 56, according to Coosa Valley News.
Assistant Police Chief Debbie Burnett said that Green then shot himself and caused Davis’s vehicle to move forward by stepping on the gas. The vehicle struck a power box and rolled down a nearby hill.
The two were in a domestic relationship, police said. Further details regarding the incident have not been disclosed by officials.
