Police looking for man who walked into Texas State classroom, ranted about 9/11

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS — On Friday, UPD Officers were dispatched to McCoy Hall room 126 for a suspicious person.

Officers were informed that an unknown suspicious individual went on a rant about the 9/11 terrorist attack and reached into his backpack which scared the entire class enough to run out of the room.

Officers spoke with witnesses from the class and were informed the male subject brought up 9/11 and mentioned that he wanted to talk to the highest authority over the attack.

Witnesses also stated the male subject specifically mentioned President Trauth and that she should make a statement over the 9/11 terrorist attack. Witnesses stated the suspicious male stood up and reached in his backpack causing everyone in the class to flee the room in fear. The suspicious male subject left before Officers arrived.

Officers were given the description of a white male, dark curly hair, wearing a blue shirt and khaki pants with a black backpack.

The McCoy Building was cleared and a search was conducted by UPD and SMPD Officers of nearby areas on and off campus. The individual was not located.
