Gastonia NC – Officers from the Gastonia Police Department have arrested and charged the following suspects for impersonating a police officer:

– Malique Jordan Nelson, age 23, of an unconfirmed address.
– Marcus Nelson, age 21, of Mount Holly.
– Donquavius Averon Boyd, age 27, of Gastonia.
– Rodrick Duane Daniels, age 37, of Gastonia.
– Jameere Dashun Samuel Ollison, age 28, of Charlotte.

Police say the suspects were charged after they went to a hotel in Gastonia “looking for an individual” while claiming to be police.

Around 1:10 a.m. on December 12, officers responded to a motel in the 1400 block of E. Franklin Avenue for a possible burglary in progress by five suspects claiming to be police officers. Responding officers located the suspects still on the motel’s property and identified them as Nelson, Boyd, Nelson, Daniels, and Ollison.

Police say the suspects used flashlights to look into at least two motel rooms while announcing to anyone inside that they were the police. A handgun was located on one of the suspects.

Cops didn’t say who the suspects were looking for or why.
