Police searching for gunman accused of shooting ex-girlfriend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Sherwin A. Allen is being sought on an arrest warrant charging felony aggravated assault in connection with Wednesday afternoon’s domestic-related shooting at 14th Avenue North & Herman Street that injured Allen’s 39-year-old ex-girlfriend.

Tanisha Johnson was shot in the leg during what she described as an argument between Allen and her adult son.

The pistol believed to have been used by Allen was recovered from a nearby dumpster. Allen fled the area in a silver Chrysler Pacifica.
