TENNESSEE — Two Nashville women are jailed in lieu of $100,000 bond each after being charged Tuesday night with trafficking an 18-year-old Clarksville woman for commercial sex.

Specialized Investigations Division detectives responded to St. Thomas Midtown Hospital Tuesday night after the victim, who was experiencing abdominal pain, reported that she was being forced to prostitute herself by Shanice Whittaker, 23, and Gabrielle Whittaker, 18, both of Ames Drive.

The victim told detectives that the Whittaker sisters picked her up in Clarksville on Tuesday and drove her to Nashville where she was taken to an unknown location and forced to engage in sex with a man she didn’t know. She said she was threatened with a knife and Taser device if she did not comply and was directed to give the $50 payment she received from the man to the sisters. The victim reported that this activity had been going on for a period of months.

The sisters, who were arrested at the hospital, admitted that they would drive the victim around Nashville for the purpose of prostitution, and that they would act as protection for her. Detectives also located Internet prostitution ads featuring the victim.
