QUEENS, N.Y. – 2 Arrested For Selling Drugs In Front of Day Care Center

Officers assigned to the Queens Narcotics Unit arrested two men Thursday following an investigation involving narcotic sales in front of a day care center located at 85-09 88th Avenue in Queens.
After executing an early morning search warrant shortly after 5:15 am, police seized approximately seven ounces of MDMA, also known as Molly, approximately four ounces of Marijuana, and $2,438 from the basement of the location.
A 24-year-old Michael Gomez, who lives in the basement location, and 23-year-old Selestino Rodriguez of Queens were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of Marijuana.
Prior to the search warrant, Gomez twice sold drugs to NYPD undercover officers outside of the location within the last month.  In one of the instances, he sold to undercover officers in front of the location at a time when parents were arriving to pick their children up at the end of the day.  Gomez was additionally charged with Criminal Sale of Marijuana, Criminal Sale of Controlled Substance, and Acting in a Manner Injurious to a Child Less than 17.
The day care center is own and operated by Gomez’s parents who live at the location. They were not charged in connection with the search warrant.  -NYPDNews
