(Scroll Down For Video) — ‘5 seconds of summer’ Guitarist Michael Clifford was hit in the face by pyrotechnics towards the end of the gig on Saturday night.
In clips posted on social media he can be seen rushing away from the side of a flamethrower at the front of the stage after his hair caught alight.
He grabs a towel and holds it to the side of his face, rushing off stage as the song finishes.
Drummer Ashton Irwin came out and told fans there would be no encore as a result of his bandmate’s injury, saying: “Michael has hurt himself so we will not be continuing the show right now.
Afterwards Clifford tweeted a picture of the left side of his face covered with bandages.
The caption read: “Sorry I couldn’t finish the encore, but at least I look like two face. thanks for worrying every1 x.”
