ATLANTA — A traffic stop in Fayette County, Georgia has led to the arrest of a major rapper.

Fayette County officials said Rick Ross was pulled over Wednesday on a window tint violation.

Deputies smelled marijuana during the stop and found it in Ross’s Bentley leading to a possession charge.

Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II, was booked into the Fayette County jail. He has since posted bond.

The rapper was arrested in June 2014 in North Carolina after failing to appear at a hearing for a previous marijuana charge, according to CNN affiliate WSB-TV. Ross was taken into custody after performing at the SuperJam Music Festival in Greensboro and later released on a $1,000 bail.

Ross is perhaps best known for his 2006 single “Hustlin’.” He was raised near Miami but purchased last year the Fayetteville mega-mansion that once belonged to boxing legend Evander Holyfield.
