MAINE — On January 18, 2016 at 1:27 AM, Scarborough Police were called to 104 Ash Swamp Road concerning a reported shooting.
Arriving on scene, officers learned that 47 Year old Bruce Glidden had sustained a gunshot wound to the lower torso. He was transported to Maine Medical Center where he is reported to be in stable condition.
At the time of the shooting his wife Amy and two juvenile children were asleep in other areas of the residence and were unharmed.
Family was awaken to gunfire, no threats were made to family members and suspect(s) fled scene immediately after shooting. The suspect(s) entered the residence through an unlocked door. It is unknown at this time if anything was taken from the residence.
Currently detectives from the Scarborough Police are canvasing the neighborhood for information. This appears to be a targeted event, police say.
