Bunnell, FL (FCSO) — On Thursday afternoon, Sheriff Staly joined the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and SWAT to execute a Narcotics Search Warrant on a residence in Bunnell, seizing enough Fentanyl to kill 32,000 people.

The Bunnell residence, located at 207 South 7th Street, was found unoccupied but the warrant allowed deputies to seize 62.38 grams of Fentanyl, 9.8 grams of Heroin, 41 Oxycodone pills, 76 Hydromorphone pills, 16 grams of Crack Cocaine and various drug paraphernalia. All the narcotics recovered in this investigation were found in a black backpack in the living room area of the residence.

“The resident of this home is officially on my Sheriff’s High Interest Target list,” Sheriff Staly said. “This guy was operating an illegal pharmacy peddling the sale of illegal drugs. In just in one backpack, there was enough fentanyl to kill 32,000 people, which is more than a third of the City of Palm Coast! The target of this investigation has been identified and is a known poison peddler in this community with an extensive criminal history for trafficking narcotics. Although the investigation is still active, I’m confident he will be going back into the Green Roof Inn very soon. This is another great job by our Special Investigations Unit and SWAT. I’m proud of their persistence to get 106 grams of various poisons off our streets.”

Through investigative techniques, the main target of this investigation has been identified as 30-year-old Twain Slater.

His criminal history dates back to 2010 in Flagler County for Resisting Officer without Violence, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Substance without Prescription, Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure, Trafficking Oxycodone, Sale of a Controlled Substance within 1,000ft of a Park, Church, School or Child Care Facility, Flee and Elude Law Enforcement at High Speeds, Tampering with Evidence, and Possessions of Amphetamine with Intent to Sell.

An arrest is anticipated following the conclusion of this investigation, which is ongoing. Charges are pending for Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Heroin, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Controlled Schedule II Substance, Possession of Cannabis 20g or Less, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

“When the investigation is concluded I hope this time he will be sentenced to a very long prison sentence before this career poison peddler kills someone,” added Sheriff Staly.
