SEATTLE — Officials in Seattle were responding to a shooting near a freeway interchange on Tuesday night. The scene is at Airport Way S and St Atlantic St. At least five victims were reported.
There was a heavy police presence in the area. A manhunt was on for an active shooter. Seattle Fire declared a multiple casualty incident.
According to KIRO, the shooting rang out in “The Jungle” homeless encampment.
“All lanes closed on Airport Way S just south of I-90, and north of S Massachusetts St. Avoid the vicinity!” Seattle DOT tweeted.
