WASHINGTON, DC – United State Secretary of State John Kerry said Iran’s recent comments were “very disturbing.”
In a Saturday speech by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei he vowed to defy American policies in the region despite the recent deal that allows Iran to pursue nuclear power and likely nuclear weapons. The speech punctuated by chants of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” caused SecState Kerry to say he “did not know how to interpret” the comments “…except to take it at face value.”
The anti-American and antisemitic comments from Iran are the same that led to revolutionaries to capture the US Embassy in 1979 and be a state supporter of terrorism throughout the Middle East and the world. The Obama Administration which has been accused of giving away the store to get any agreement seems to have forgotten history and instead gotten the Iran they bargained for in Vienna.
