Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell Hospitalized With Concussion

According to a spokesperson, Mitch McConnell, the Senate Republican leader, suffered a concussion after falling at a DC hotel and is currently receiving treatment and being observed in the hospital for a few days.

The incident occurred Wednesday night during a Senate Leadership Fund dinner at the Waldorf Astoria Washington DC, where McConnell tripped and fell.

While his office did not disclose any further information about his condition or absence from the Senate, McConnell expressed his gratitude for the medical professionals and his colleagues’ well-wishes.

President Joe Biden also tweeted his hope for McConnell’s speedy recovery and return to the Senate floor.
