HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Emergency services have responded to a building in west Harris County near Katy after reports of an active shooter.
A man armed with a shotgun entered a building in the 20400 block of Franz Road and fired several shots.
According to Click2Houston, Harris County Precint 5 Constable’s Office confirms multipe people have been shot.
Their conditions are not yet known.
Knight Transportation is near two elementary schools, a middle school and a high school.
Westlake Volunteer Fire Department has confirmed that at least two people have died.
Schools in the surrounding have been placed on lockdown.
Officials have confirmed that the shooter is down.
