WATCH: (Scroll Down For Video) Detention will be the least of the worries for this high school student who has been filmed throwing his principal to the ground this week.

Police in Sacramento, California, say the unnamed teen was one of three Florin High School students arrested on Monday for starting a lunchroom brawl.

Shocking video shows the moment school principal Don Ross tried to intervene, but was slammed to the floor by a teen wearing a blue hoodie, as students gathered around screamed.

‘I see the principal get flipped,’ junior Dezhon Jackson told KCRA. ‘I just see a whole lot of ruckus…a lot of people were just crowding over getting on tables and yelling to fight, encouraging it.’

Ross quickly rebounded and was able to grab the teen again, just as the school’s police officer arrived to arrest him.

Tony Turnbull, a spokesman for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department says three students were arrested after the fight and are facing battery charges and a third student has been accused of making threats towards classmates and law enforcement.

‘There were three school officials who sustained minor injuries,’ said Xanthi Pinkerton, spokeswoman for the Elk Grove Unified School District. ‘I do know one of the school officials, the principal, was involved in stabilizing the situation.’

In an interview with Fox 40, Ross said that the fight was unusual.

Coupled with the fight on Monday, and ‘threats’ written in a school bathroom, several parents decided to keep their children home from school on Tuesday.

‘Nobody came to school [Tuesday],’ freshman Leilah Windom said. ‘My first period was only like four people.’
