Shots Fired At Little Rock Air Force Base

JACKSONVILLE, Arkansas — Police were called to the Little Rock Air Force Base after reports of gunfire.

According to THV11, that incident happened at the gates of the base around 9:15 a.m. Monday.

Shots were fired, and two people were taken to the hospital.

One of those individuals was not a member of the military.

Arkansas Democrat-Gazette quoted a police source as saying a person was shot while apparently trying to gain access to the base outside of Little Rock.

Reports indicate the base was put on lock down as officials searched vehicles near the front gate.

One car in particular was being searched using a robotic machine.

No further details were available.
