BERKELEY: A car was sitting in the middle of the Berkeley Apple store this morning, surrounded by broken glass, after it was driven through the store’s facade just before 3 a.m. Friday morning.

The incident appears to be a deliberate smash-and-grab case as several items were stolen from the store, according to the Berkeley police.

The car, which appears to have gone right through the front of the store at 1823 4th Street, damaged both the front doors and the roll-up metal security gate, leaving a trail of broken glass.
