Teen Girl Killed In Drive-By Shooting On I-24 In Nashville

NASHVILLE, TENN — (News Release / MNPD) — The teen fatally wounded early Sunday morning inside a Ford Mustang on I-24 West near Briley Parkway is identified as Liliana Rodriguez, 18, of Madison.

Liliana was a back seat passenger in the car driven by her brother, Rodrigo Rodriguez, 20, when at 5:15 a.m. shots were fired at the Mustang from a dark blue or black Infiniti G35 with a blue LED light bar over the license plate. Liliana was struck. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died. Her brother and two other passengers in the Mustang were not hurt.

They had just left La Mansion Hall Club, 1310 Antioch Pike, and were traveling west on I-24 when the Infiniti pulled alongside them and shots were fired from the Infiniti into the Mustang. Rodrigo Rodriguez pulled over on I-24 West near the I-40 split.

The victims reported that they were not involved in any altercations prior to the shooting.
