El PASO, Texas – An 18 –year old woman was arrested by detectives late yesterday afternoon, for Promotion and Possession of Child Pornography.
Detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC) conducted the investigation where the nude images of a minor were posted and distributed through Facebook and Instagram accounts used by 18 –year old Luz Paola Aranda. The investigation revealed that the nude images were those of a female who was a minor when the photos were taken. Aranda obtained the images and posted them on the social media accounts with the message, “who wants to see free nudes”. Aranda created new accounts and reposted the images after the media platforms closed the accounts with those images.
Aranda encouraged others to share and repost the nude images. Aranda was charged with 5 counts each of Possession of Child Pornography and Promotion of Child Pornography and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under bonds totaling $750,000.
