UPPER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania —  54-year-old Cheryl Silvonek was stabbed to death at her home on March 15th after her daughter, Jamie, 14, conspired through text messages to have her mother killed.

The attack allegedly took place after the victim took her daughter and her 20-year-old boyfriend, Army Spc. Caleb Barnes to a concert.

Authorities say the girl’s mother had been trying to end the couple’s relationship when she found out Barnes’ age but agreed to take them to the event.

In the text messages, the girl writes to Barnes, “I want her gone” and “She needs to go.’

“Caleb if she asks about your age say 16 and a half again, and that the reason you said 20 is you are used to lying about it to fellow soldiers in the army to avoid harassment so when you’re in stressful scenarios it just comes out,” Jamie wrote in another text.

The teen then texted Barnes, “She threatened to throw me out of the house. I want her gone,” the affidavit said. Later, she wrote to him, “Just do it.”

Barnes stabbed the victim several times in the head, neck and chest as her daughter watched, according to reports.

The suspect was from Fort Meade but off duty at the time of the murder. He was previously charged with homicide.

He confessed to stabbing Cheryl Silvonek while they were in her car, and Jamie Silvonek, 14, admitted she was there when he committed the crime and helped dispose of the body, according to the Associated Press.

The eighth-grader has been charged with homicide as an adult. Her attorneys claim she was under the murderers control.

Barnes is charged with homicide, abuse of a corpse and statutory sexual assault. He is being held in Lehigh County Jail without bail.
