Morris, NY – (NYSP) — On September 3, 2016, at about 3:14 a.m., New York State Police at Oneonta responded to an Otsego County 911 report of a one car motor vehicle accident, that was on fire, near 2155 State Highway 23, in the Town of Morris, Otsego County.
An investigation determined that a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta was westbound on State Route 23 when it failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway an exited the northbound shoulder, striking several objects, before rolling over and coming to rest in a field. Excessive speed was a factor in this crash.
The driver: Dillon D. Clemens, 21, of Plymouth, NY, his front seat passenger Jordan A. Crandall, 22, Norwich, NY and his rear seat passenger Christopher N. Brissette II, 22, of Sherburne, NY were all deceased at the scene. Otsego County Coroner Terry L. Knapp responded and had the three occupants taken to Lourdes Hospital for pending autopsies.
