Times Square Streets Closed After Suspicious Package Reported In Front Of McDonald’s

The NYPD has closed 42nd St between 7th and 8th Avenues in Manhattan where a suspicious package was reported.

Police have set up a cordon in front of the McDonald’s in Times Square.

The NYPD has now confirmed that the reported suspicious package turned out to be an empty suitcase, an all clear has now been given.

People who work in the surrounding buildings are being kept back by the NYPD at this time.

The city remains on high alert after a bomb was detonated over the weekend,

The Times Square subway station was also refusing to allow passengers to enter on 42nd St.
