From the GoFundMe page that has been set up for the child:

“Dylan is a sweet 2 year old little boy who is suffering many complications following accidental aspiration of tiki torch fluid. On March 10, 2015, Dylan found an old tiki torch and thought it was a cup. He attempted to ingest it before anyone could grab it from him. He startled from his parents reaction and the taste, causing him to inhale the fluid into his lungs. He initially received immediate medical attention in Laurens, SC ER. That hospital air lifted him to a larger hospital in Greenville where his condition continued to deteriorate. He was put on life support in March 11, 2015. His lungs began to fill with blood early the next morning, March 12, 2015. At this time, Greenville hospital is stabilizing him for a flight to Charleston, SC to receive ECHMO, which is a procedure to continuously remove all of his blood from his body, filtered and back to his body. The money being raised will help provide financial means for his parents to be able to stay with him while he is in Charleston and to help with childcare for their other child. Any prayers and donations will be greatly appreciated.

Dylan has made a little progress. He is still critical but stable. His lungs are trying there best to heal. The doctors are saying it will be a slow process so we’re still not sure how long he will be here. Thanks to everyone who has donated and left kind words for our beautiful boy. Please continue your prayers.”
