Tulsa Man Arrested For Shooting Into Home, Burglary While Wearing Body Armor

A motive for the crime remains unknown.

TULSA, Okla. – On Monday, at 9:11 am, Tulsa Police Officers were called to the area of 4000 E. 63rd Street. When Officers arrived we learned that the suspect, Leo John Noel, came to the house wearing body armor and shot through the front door several times with a semi-automatic rifle.

Noel was no stranger to the location as he had been there recently and had a seemingly friendly relationship with the people who lived there.

After shooting through the front door, Noel went to the back door and walked into the house. Inside there was a confrontation between one of the residents and the suspect, during this confrontation Noel was pointing his rifle at them.

Police were able to track the suspect down and arrest him without incident while he was at a medical facility at 91st and Mingo. When officers arrested him, he had a pistol in his possession.

Officers recovered a few weapons and ammunition from his residence, including the rifle used in the attack.
