  • Nit/Rock

The Nit or Rock is the extreme opposite of Calling Station and has a complete polar opposite game. The Nits keep on waiting for premium hands and will give away the game instead of taking unnecessary risks. They seldom play anything else other than Aces, Kings, Queens, or maybe A-K (Ace-King). If someday a Nit raises you, you should keep in mind that they surely have something really great in their hand, and you should probably fold.

A Noob is someone who has zero amount of enthusiasm for learning new things and fails because of his approach to learning, whereas a Newbie is someone who is intelligent or wants to learn but has little or no experience.

  • The Maniacs

These players are called maniacs because of their tendency to play every hand and raise or re-raise with any two cards. They might be drunk, on tilt, or there is a chance; they just want to have a lot of fun and a lot of action during the game. It may seem that it is easy to play against a maniac, although because of their aggressive nature, they have the ability to test you more than you can think.

They are better than a Noobie/Noob. Although unlike in chess, playing by the book in Poker is not really appreciated, and such a player can be exploited through aggression.

  • The Coffee Houser

The Coffee Houser is someone who is always talking in an attempt to mislead other players about the strength of their hand. The Coffee Houser is the guy that nobody likes, but playing like this can be considered a move of smartness in many situations.
