NYPD Seeks Suspect In Spree of Violent Attacks In Past 24 Hours

QUEENS, NEW YORK — **UPDATE: Suspect in custody. Dillon apprehended after a police shooting. The suspect allegedly threw a chemical at officers. A knife was recovered from the scene. Condition of suspect and officers not known.**

Police in the Big Apple are searching for James Patrick Dillon regarding two slashing attacks and an incident where he allegedly pushed a 17-year-old onto the subway tracks in Queens.

Police released his mugshot on Sunday.

On Sunday, March 6, 2016 at approximately 1130AM, police responded to an assault in the vicinity of 25-69 36 Street in Queens – within the confines of the 114 precinct. Upon arrival officers determined that a 39 year old female was slashed in the head and face at the location by a 23 year old male who then fled the scene.

At approximately 3:09PM, police then responded to a call of an assault at the 38-18 Astoria Boulevard in Queens – also within the confines of the 114 precinct.

There, police determined that the same individual who is believed to have slashed the victim in the first incident, was also the same individual who stabbed a 55 year old male and burned a 61 year old male at the location.

EMS responded and removed the 55 year old victim to an Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The 61 year old victim was transported to Cornell Hospital in critical condition.
