Vallejo, California — Denise Huskins was found safe at a relative’s house in Huntington Beach this morning after contacting her father and telling him she was here.

Officers responded to her relative’s house and confirmed she was safe there. Huntington Beach detectives are on scene and are working with Vallejo PD and their investigation.

EARLIER REPORT: 30-year-old Denise Huskins was forcibly taken against her will and police say she is being held for ransom.

The woman’s boyfriend witnessed the kidnapping and waited several hours to contact police, according to reports. However, he is not a suspect in the case, Vallejo Police Lt. Kenny Park said.

The boyfriend says he heard the abductors talk about a ransom demand.

“Ms. Huskins’ whereabouts are unknown, and we are treating this matter as a kidnap for ransom,” Park told reporters. “We’re worried about Ms. Huskins’ welfare. We don’t know where she’s at. And that’s why we’re coming to the public asking for their help.”
