Missouri — Officials are asking for the help of the public in locating a missing 16-year-old girl after her mother apparently received a chilling phone call Tuesday night.
The girl, Kiaira Lazae Burris, was last seen around 3 p.m. Tuesday at a McDonald’s in Versailles. Versailles is located approximately 125 miles southeast of Kansas City.
According to WDAF-TV, Burris’ mother told police she received a call around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night from an unknown number, and could hear her daughter crying.
“Burris’ mother added that at one point a male began got on the line and repeated the phrase ‘I hid the body’ before hanging up the phone,” WDAF-TV reported.
Police are looking for a gray Chevrolet Malibu bearing unknown registration, with tinted windows and front end damage. That vehicle was last seen on Tuesday around 7:00 p.m. in Columbia, Missouri.
Burris is 5’7” tall, 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, and has a tattoo of a rose outline on her left arm. She was last seen wearing a brown and tan sleeveless sundress, and black sandals with pearls.
