DEKALB COUNTY, Georgia — An unarmed black man, Anthony Hill, was shot and killed by a white cop, DeKalb County Police Officer Robert Olsen, in Georgia.

The man charged at responding Officers. At that point, he was shot at least twice by Police.

    According to  CBS46:

“We have what we refer to as a continuum force,” said DeKalb County Public Safety Director Cedric Alexander.

Continuum force allows police in the heat of the moment the right to use deadly force, just as any private citizen would.

“Different scenarios require different tools,” said Dr. Alexander. “Policing of course is a very unpredictable job and scenarios pop up all the time. Some you can’t practice and rehearse for.”

    From USA Today:

“An investigation led by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation will determine if the DeKalb County police officer was justified in shooting the victim, identified by the Associated Press as Anthony Hill, 27.

Police were called to the complex by a 911 caller who said a suspicious man was running through the complex.

“The caller reported a male acting deranged, knocking on doors and crawling around on the ground naked,” said DeKalb County Police Chief Dr. Cedric Alexander in a Monday afternoon news conference.”
